Hi,

What do you mean by its not turning on?

Did you plug in rj45 to its back with other end that supports Power over Ethernet?

from my router, i plug in the cat 5 connection. .. nothing...

You need to connect it to a switchport that can supply 6.3 Watt of power, there are certain PoE requirements that need to be met as per the following

can you please give me an example of where i can get this switch port?

Switchports are available on switches, if you don't have a Cisco switch then buying a new one for just one phone will not make sense. What is your existing infrastructure, for getting better support on the forums you need to provide details of the device models, firmware/ios details otherwise the posts will go unanswered or stretch for days.

If you do not have a PoE switch or module on your ISR, you can always just buy a power cube
