Wrong SNMP traps on 8.2.130.0 from 2802i accesspoints

From the controlls trap log i can see:

Load Util Profile Failed for Base Radio MAC: 00:3a:7d:b7:e0:00 and slotNo: 1 current 65500 threshold 64845

This should mean that the load utilization is higher than what set for utilization under 802.11a/11b - rrm - general.

When i verify the load for the particular AP, the load is more than often at 0% at both 802.11a and 802.11b.. I then checked the event log in Prime and found out that every 5 minute there is a load threshold violation. Even at night when there is no utilization at all.

This seems like a bug since this only happens to 2802i APs running on 8.2.130.0 software.

I recommend you to upgrade, regardless of this issue, to the freshly release 8.2.151.0. A LOT of bugs with the 2802i platform were fixed in the two updates that were released since 8.2.130.0.

Also, it might be an issue with Prime, make sure you are using a version and patch and Device Pack that fully supports the 2802i.

Thank you. After upgrading to 8.2.151.0 none of the above problems have accoured. Also the 2802i are now stable.
