Please help with RVS4000 and L3 Switch

Hello  Every one,

I have a RSV4000 and a L3 switch that I cant get online with.

The clients are set to the L3 as the gateway of a 10.230.36.253 the RSV4000 is set with a public ip address and Ip address of 10.230.36.1. From clients I can ping both the switch and the router but cant get online. If i set the clients to the rsv4000 as the gateway I can get online. Now what can be wrong if i set the clients to the l3 switch to be the gateway and not able to get online but able to ping the RSV4000? The thing is that the L3 has to be the gateway for vlan routing.

Hello Alex,

It sounds like you need to configure the L3 switch to have a default gateway pointing to the router. If that doesn't work you can also try configuring a static route to forward the traffic from L3 switch to RSV4000.

Hope that helps!

Kris

Sorry and thank you for your reply. I got it fixed it was a firewall problem.
