SPA504G: Handset pick up not detected by phone (speakerphone works, headset doesn't).

I just received my SPA504G and noticed that when I pick up the handset, nothing happens. There is no sound coming from the handset, nor does the phone detect it's pick up.

When I click the speakerphone button, I hear the sound coming from the phone and can make a phone call.

But I can't talk through the handset or do anything with it.

Is there a setting that I missed?

Handset not plugged into correct phone's port (labeled HAC) ? Poorly plugged (having no contact on either side of cable ) ? Verify it's connected correctly.

Broken handset at all ? Try another handset if you have one, call seller for replacement otherwise.
