Hi
in the doc it shows what it configures when you apply that specific command ,it also applies video with af41 you can see exactly what way too so it does cover video in multi conf queue
test it on a port , it will roll it out globally and only apply it to that port , if your not happy with it you can easily remove it and try something like trust dscp which will cover anything that's marking at its source and queue it
Just so you know this is how you see its carrying marking before even applying qos
#sh platform qos dscp-cos counters gigabitEthernet 1/0/1 | i DSCP46
Ingress DSCP46 1505533580 0
Egress DSCP46 1814798695 0

ios-xe trusts dscp by default so if the source is marking it you really don't have too #but if you want to enable qos
on the access ports you can enable the specific auto qos trust csico phone and video if there each in separate physical ports
if the voice and video is coming into same physical port user ...auto qos trust dscp and repeat the same on the uplink too , that will cover you for both once the source devices are marking with EF 46 and AF41
This release guide is for 3650 but its exact same pon any ios-xe switch now

Hi Mark,
thanks for your reply, as you said we can apply under the interface:
Switch(config)# interface gigabitEthernet1/0/21 Switch(config-if)# auto qos voip cisco-softphone
Can we configure Video also in the same interface?
Can you please provide me the sample configuration for Video and Voice under host interface and the uplink?
Thanks

4500 QoS will depend on what's installed in chassis.
how can enable it ?
How QoS is enabled is explained in the reference manuals and usage guide for your platform's IOS. Cisco's also has multiple white papers, QoS guides and other recommendations on their main site.
An actual configuration usually depends on what exactly your QoS needs are. You're saying you're only need to concern yourself with telepresence traffic?
do we need to configure on the uplink also?
"need to"? That depends whether your traffic is adversely being impacted without having QoS. "Kind" of port doesn't matter, but an adverse impact is more likely to occur on congested ports.
As often what ports might become adverse can be very difficult to predict. "The book" recommends all ports, end-to-end, be QoS configured to insure your traffic always receives the treatment it needs, but in the real-world, there may be none to just a couple of ports that really need QoS to avoid adverse impact (usually ports to low speed WANs are the first tol "need" QoS).
That said, telepresence, is more likely to need QoS support than many other kinds of traffic.
