Inter VLAN Multicast Routing on SG300-10

Answered Question

Hello,

I have a network made of 2 VLANs connected via the Cisco Small Business SG300-10.

One computer on VLAN2 needs to transmit multicast data to several devices in VLAN1.

I read on another forum that inter-VLAN multicast routing is not possible with SG300 Cisco switches. Is that true ?

If so, which switch (working on L3) do I need to use ?

Thanks,

Robin

Hello, my name is Jonathan and I am part of the Small Business Department.

I apologize for any inconvenience with the unit, it is correct the Small Busines units don't support this feature, so you will need a router that is capable of doing it, I am not aware of any other unit but you can contact our Presales department and check what they can find out. Thanks
