Yes. It works perfectly fine.

Just be sure to give your customer a good as-built document and some basic operations instructions for the VMware bit. If they don't have an ESXi environment they may need a bit more in the way of hand-off than usual.

Make sure they have a backup scheme in place. At the very least schedule FMC backups to external storage.
