Upgrading to new IOS 6.0

I am trying to upgarde my two pix firewalls (Primary and Faiover one) to the new version 6. I am concerned about the down time during this procedure. Can I upgrade one firewall at a time without causing any problem and prevening down time ?

I was able to upgrade my Secondary firewall & then force a failover over to it so that I could upgrade the Primary unit. We saw no down time.
