Does anyone know if this router supports NAT and will it need to be configured in anyway to do this ?
Im new to this company and they use the router to control pc's with their own Internet ip address's, there is a proxy server with its own internet ip address connected to the router which is used by the LAN to access the internet. I would like to get rid of the proxy and get the lan to use the router directly.

Yes you can do NAT (http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios120/12cgcr/np1_c/1cprt2/1cipadr.htm#xtocid2651750) with that router. You might look at adding the firewall feature set to it at the same time.
Hope this helps.

you can do PAT , but you need to upgrade the RAM and flash memory before doing that. The IOS version with firewall function need more memory than default by
1603.
