VPN 3.01 Client-Win2K-Verizon xDSL Problem

I have a problem using the Verizon supplied Wind River DSL software after installing the Cisco VPN 3.01 client software on Windows 2000 only. The DSL dialer error "Error occurred during dialog. Error code=797. Extended error code=0" is received on a Windows 2000 platform only when the Cisco client is installed. The same setup works with Win98se. Both the DSL dialer and VPN dialer work on the Win2k PC, but not together. Please advise how to keep the Cisco VPN Client from causing DSL dialer problems on a Windows 2000 machine.
