hello,

i have a bad Day. I try to upgrade a 4500 M Router from ios version 10.3 to 11.3. I made a copy of the old boot image and downloaded by tftp the new one.

After reboot i get the messages crc error and the system goes in Rommon mode.

I study the Web and Cisco Forums but i found absolutly nothing to recover the boot rom.

The help was xmodem or tftp but the rommon has no command option like xmodem or tftp.

What can i do?

Is there any way to get the System online again.

Thx

Alex

This is from the UniversCD release 10.x stuff:

You need to be at the router

Hi Vince ,

#thx for the help.

But the link dont work. Is there any way to get the Document.

THX Alex

heres the link. its the 10.3 version, I'm assuming thats the level of boot roms on board. Go thru the section on booting from rom image (not rommon)

and see if that fixes it.
