CW2000+3548switchproblem

We have one switch that refuses to appear on our CW2000 monitor and yet it seems to be setup identically to all the others that do appear. Same SNMP strings, listed in the cw2000 server's hosts table correctly, same ios ver as all the others, but still won't appear as a new device after a discovery.

Does anyone have any pointers as to what to look at next ?

Have you checked whether CDP is enabled on the device ?

If it isn't then Campus Manager won't find the device starting from another seed device in the discovery process.

Also try the 'Management station to device' test for SNMP connectivity, as I have seen 'invisible' spaces at the end of community strings that do not show in the config but obviously look different to the NMS.

First thing to verify is whether the version of CW2000 supports these devices or not. If it does, then have a look at: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/477/Campus/ani.shtmlwhich describes the most common issues related to discovery and it's fix.
