unity exchange active directory connector

hello, this is still in related to my previous problem, but does anyone know if there are any problems with unity and exchange if you ware running the active direcory connector. i was noticing that that the unity schema that is installed in exchange gets transfered into active direcory. all the hidden properties show up as disabled accounts. do you guys know if there are any problems with this? --- Ben Mason Netarx, Inc Phone: (248) 647-9800 Fax: (248) 647-9840 Email: bmason@netarx.com

Yes, there is a serious problem with using the ADC and Unity. If you're syncing the AD information back to Unity 2.x you will almost certainly bring yourself to destruction. The ADC isn't too bright and makes some real bad assumptions about what some of our custom properties (objects like locations, call handlers, interviewers etc... that we add to the directory under the Unity folder but are hidden from the address book). When it sends those back via the ADC it maps them to the closest thing it understands which can cause all kinds of really unpleasant things to happen.

Short story, only use a one way connector FROM Unity out... do NOT set the connector to synch back to Unity.

Also, if you blow the system up with the ADC you will need to reinstall. There is no way to undo the destruction. For this reason Cisco does not support the ADC with Unity 2.4.6 at all.
