Mac Address Blocking on a 2900XL

I have two Lans connecting through a 2900XL.

I need to allow all PCs on Lan A to see servers on Lan B. Only specified PCs on Lan B should be able to see Lan A devices.

Is this possible, any info greatfully received?

I was hoping to create 2 VLANs and specify Mac Addresses of the PCs that should be able to see Lan B, is that the right direction to go in?

I dont believe you can do mac address blocking on layer 2. If you have a 1:1 correspondence between vlans and IP network addresses, you can use access lists on the router to do the selective permits for those users in LanB that need to connect to users in LanA.
