"Bad Ring List File"

When upgrading CM to 3-2-1 and added 3-2-1spB. When I try to change the ring type I get the message "Bad Ring List File!" I look ant the Ringlist.xml (C:\Program Files\Cisco\TFTPPath\ringlist.xml). All ring types are there and in correct format. In CM Service-Cisco TFTP Configuration- the File Location* is set to c:\Program Files\Cisco\TFTPpath. And the ringlist.xml resides in the directory. There is also a RingList.DAT I don’t know what this is used for? To fix it I shortened the file to under 2048 bytes. It appears that any XML data past bytes 2048 of the ringlist.xml file is being sent as 0x00 instead of the actual data. Is there possibly a buffer overrun issue?

this is a known bug, CSCdw93219, there is no workaround.

But I saw a post in this forum about changing the 'enable caching of files at startup' tftp-service-parameter. This works for me as workaround, but I don't know is this has any consequenses for the performance.
