Does the windows-98, 2000 support 802.1X? if doesn't is there any patch

Check with Microsoft, but as far as I know only Windows XP supports 802.1X

Microsoft was intending to support 802.1x in Windows 2000 with a patch but has never released the patch. Windows 98 was never slated for 802.1x. Windows XP is the only current Microsoft OS to support 802.1.x.
