We have a private branch exchange (PBX) connected to an AS5300 universal access server that initiates a call to a PBX connected to a Cisco 3640. The phone rings, but there is only a brief squeal and then nothing. The calls coming from the other way are fine. The following is the path the call takes:

pbx-5300-7200-FR-3640-pbx

<p>Why are my calls not being completed?

If the phone rings then I would suppose signalling

is fine hence ip routing is enabled on

both originating and terminating gateways.

However if no proper QOS is enabled for voice within

your network , then its quite possible that the voice call will

fail as its not at all tolerant to end-to-end delay greater than 150ms.

1. Check you round trip delay for a ping packet

2.do a few "sh call active voice" command and compare the transmit and receive

rtp streams to see if you're sending voice pakets

and receiving.

3. check you QOS config
