Getting real-time status on faxes submitted to AS5350 using T.37?

Is it possible to get high level status on fax sending status of an AS5350 (line 1 is connecting, line 2 is sending page 1 or 3, etc)?

We want to use an AS5350 to do outbound sending for faxes generated on desktop PCs (through an Intel server). We would like the Intel server to be able to see what the status is of each fax being deliveried so it can be passed it back to the desktop PCs.

The faxes will be submitted to the AS5350 using T.37 and have a unique messageID. We know the XACCT command will get us final status once the fax is complete but we need something while the faxes are being send. The type of statu we are looking for is: dialing, connecting, sending page 1 or x, completed, busy, no answer.

We wondered about using something like SNMP or debug messages. We would need to be able to match a fax on a given telco to the unique message ID submitted as part of the T.37 message.
