What is the difference between the 2950 series Catalyst switches and the 3500 series switches. They both offer the same port densities, and Gigabit uplink.

The main differences between both switches are that 3500 provides better performance, handles QoS, can serve as both a powerful access layer switch for medium enterprise wiring closets and as a backbone switch for mid-sized networks and 2950 fits better on small to mid-sized networks.
