What is this port 2001 used for on the routers??

A security information officer is doing port scans on our network. Various models of routers keep showing port 2001 open. I need an explanation of what this port is used for and its use for potential security hacks.

Not applicable

There are TCP ports available for reverse

telnet connectios to physical lines on

a NAS (usually); so port 2001 would be

for line 1 of the NAS.

You can disable this entirely with the

line command .
