Please can someone tell me if the IGMPv2 leave timer is configurable?

On my Trace, i see a IGMP leave 300 seconds after the last packet received from the mcast group.

Many thanks in advance.

  • Cisco Employee,

Please restate the question - it is not clear what you are asking.

Are you saying host only sends a leave 300 sec after the source stops sending, or are you saying that mcast traffic stops on a port but your trace shows a leave 300 seconds after that (ie, you expect to still get traffic)?

Sorry :) All I am saying is that how long will an IGMP receiver keep connected (b4 it sends an IGMP leave request) if the source has stopped sending?

And is the leave time configurable?

many thx :)
