we have a DID Range of 2400-2499. our internal extensions are 54XX.

i want to configure the h.323 gateway to ring 5422 when 2422 DID comes in the gateway without having 2422 showup as an extension on the phone.

I was hoping that this could be done with no call manager involvement . so basically i want the gateway to translate 2422 into 5422 and then send the call manager to ring the appropriate phone.

i think "num-exp 2422 5422" is not the best solution

better use : num-exp 24xx 54xx

or num-exp 24.. 54..

(do not know what wildcard is xx or .. )

for me it is because it is only for a few phones that i want to do this for but your right this is not a scalable method
