I assume that the FR switch is a cisco IOS device? If not, this won't work. If it is, make sure that you have recent code on the devices, as there could be bugs (although I don't see any specific bugs right now could apply). In terms of configuration, there isn't a lot to it besides "CDP run" (global) and "cdp enable (per interface).
