How is CIDS keeping up with innovations in IDS?

Particularly,

Can CIDS offer a true inline network level IDS, not depending on IP stack? Run on top of the network driver, so it doesn't require an IP stack to work.

Is CIDS going to offer the capability to automatically email the whois tech contact on scans?

Cisco has a team of developers and testers with several years of experience in network security wokring on new features for new versions of Cisco IDS.

We can not, however, discuss on this Forum what features are being developed, or when those features may be delivered. That information is Cisco proprietary and is not discussed on open forums.

Please contact your Cisco Sales Representative. You would need to work through them to find out what features are planned and currently being implemented.
