TFTP option in DHCP scope

IF there are two CCM in a cluster, do I have to configure these two servers as tftp server in DHCP scope? I am thinking if only one ccm is configured as tftp in dhcp scope, when this CCM(tftp) is down, IP phone reregister will not be able to access the tftp server(the ccm)

  • Cisco Employee,

Usually you only congifure one of the ccm as a tftp server. In ccm version 3.2 you have the option to configure 2 servers as tftp servers for redundancy.

You just set the option 150 as an array.

Hope this helps,

The phone does not need to see the tftp server when failing over to its secondary CCM.
