827 router reboots

We have an 827 DSL router that intermitantly re boots. There are no errors in the show logging, but sh ver has the following. The relevent part being


System returned to ROM by error - a SegV exception, PC 0x807EDE80

We need the output of "sh stack" to verify the cause of the crash; however, my guess is that this is potentially a new bug, and so you may want to open a case with the TAC so that they can submit a new bug report if necessary, or get you the latest 12.2T image that may have a fix.

Yes, this looks like a new bug. I would suggest you open a case with the TAC to try the latest 12.2T code, otherwise a bug report will need to be submitted. It will help the TAC is you can verify whether or not you can reproduce the problem, and what action may be causing the crash.

We have another 827 with a very similar configuration that does not crash


The router that is haveing the problems has crashed again with the same trace.
