505 Cache Engine boot failure

Unanswered Question

I have a 505 Cache Engine that fails to boot properly. The original problem was it had a "catastrophic error" on boot. I uploaded a new IOS to the device, and now all it does is continually go through the boot process. It will boot over and over. When the statement comes up and says "hit any key to stop auto-boot" it goes to a prompt, and the only thing it will allow me to do is see the bootup menu. I have tried several times to reload the IOS, but the problem doesn't go away.

Any ideas on what else I can try???

Sounds like a hardware failure. Make sure your support contract/warranty is in force and call Cisco.
