I'm working on a catalyst 6500 and trying to set up the VLANs on it. I session into MSFC and go to "Router (config)#". However from there "ip routing" command is not available to enable the routing. Any idea?
Thanx

I tried it in the lab switch and I do see the command. Is your MSFC in boot mode? Can you paste output of show version
Router(config)#ip ro?
route routing
Router(config)#ip routin
Router(config)#ip routing
Router(config)#

Yes. It is in the boot mode. How do I get out of it?
Thanx.

do a "dir bootflash:" and see if you have a valid IOS file. If you do, set a boot variable using the following commands
conf terminal
boot system flash bootflash:
config-register 0x2102
end
wr mem
reload
