Configuring nat on a single interface

I have a 2524 router that I am trying to adapt for a customers network. I have a DSL modem with a static ip connecting into a hub. The router only has one ethernet port. I would like to perform a nat operation if at all possible to translate between the static ip and the internal private ip. Is there a way to do this? Right now I have the static on e0 and the private on e0 secondary.

I am using IOS 12.0 ip plus/fw.

I don't think a secondary would work, can you try with subinterfaces?

Secondary doesn't work but I get the eror message that you must be running ISL or 802.11Q to have a subinterface on a ethernet port. Is it possible to act like you are running VLANs without running VLANs.
