VoIP voice quality Cisco versus Lucent MAX

I need to deploy a VoIP link over a satellite. I have used cisco before. However I need to know how Lucent's MAX VoIP solution works and performs.

has anyone had the opportunity to compare the voice quality between a Cisco 5300 and Lucent MAX 6000, using preferably G.729?

Or are there any tests documented somewhere?

Well, g.729 is g.729 so both would deliver less than toll quality voice with this codec. If we assume that QOS and packet loss are about equal, voice quality should be very similar. Looks like the max 6000 line is at end of life, though.
