I seem to have lost my Ciscoview of my 6509 core switch. It just has a generic snmp picture and is listed under the mib numbers. I even tried to update the packages and it still does not show up. My 6506 shows up, though.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Mitch

What version of CiscoView are you using?. Also, CiscoView won't show a device as Generic SNMP. If the device package is not loaded, it will give you an error message.

Ciscoview 5.3. It used to be there, but when the redundant sup1 blades switch from standby and back again, it is not there anymore.......The generic view is on my campus map...CD 4.0....Please point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Mitch

To continue on. The device type is under Topology services, layer 2 view as:
.1.3.6.1.4.1.0.0.39. instead of c6509. Anyone have any idea how I can make it so.....
TIA,
Mitch
