WS-X6348-RJ-45 SAL06334L43 Hw : 6.1

Fw : 5.4(2)

Sw : 6.3(7)

WS-F6K-VPWR Hw : 1.0

We have been experiencing the below line card errors which has occasionally affected single ports or sometimes all ports on a WS-X6348-RJ-45.

2002 Oct 28 14:58:57 GMT +00:00 %SYS-3-SYS_LCPERR3:Module 3:Coil Pb Rx Underflow Error - Port #20:

2002 Oct 28 14:58:57 GMT +00:00 %SYS-0-SYS_LCPERR0:Module 3: Coil Pb Rx Parity Error - Port #20:

This has now occured on approximately 5 out of 25 of the newly installed modules. At first I have been putting this down to a faulty ASIC and replacing the cards. I am consolidating the serial numbers in case of a faulty batch. The DOA rate seems suspicously high!

Has anybody experienced this problem whilst running Catos 6.3(7)? Did a software upgrade fix the problem.

Cheers, John.

I have encountered this several times . It was identified as a bug CSCdu03935 .

It could either hardware or a software. Take a look at the following page on CCO
