INSTALL FLASH

I have a switch (2924) that has no flash in it. When I boot I get this message:

The system has been interrupted prior to initializing the

flash filesystem. The following commands will initialize

the flash filesystem, and finish loading the operating

system software:

flash_init

load_helper

boot

dir on flash-init shows nothing. I understand that TFTP is used to get the IOS image down, but how do I get TFTP from here. I can't figure out the way to configure the switch to use TFTP for it's image.

Any help is very appreciated

Hi,

I doubt if the this will work. I dont have a 2900 right now with me to try this out....but you could try this...

at the switch: prompt...try

switch: boot tftp:\\ x.x.x.x\

Hopefully if this works....you are in luck...Again... i am not sure abt this....command being supported.
