Hi All
Merry Xmas
Please I keep getting this alerts - High Queue Drope Rate from the DFM in CiscoWorks as per Performnace Exception. From the Cisco web site, it says there might be a problem with a NIC. But how do I get to know which port on he switch is having a problem as it is not going to be easy going from PC to PC. Is there a way for me to know which port is having a High Queue Drop Rate.
Thanks

If you know the Mac address you can do a sh cam on the switch . This will tell you what port the mac address is associated with

No, all I see is a report of High Queue Drop Rate and this seems to be happening like ever so often. This is being reported by DFM in CiscoWorks and now it has become a great source of concern. The only thing is that I do not know how I can troubleshoot it and all I keep getting from the cisco site is what it means.
Please help!
