I have 1601, i cannot access the router through console port , session dos not

start.

any solution for this

Did u check the cable, and the connectors used to access the console ??

Also please check the Hyperterminal (or the software u r using) settings...?? It should 9600 8 1 No flow control..

hi agian,

Assuming the router is not active/running,

if you have used/done the following:

1. Correct COM port and Hyperterm settings:

- 9600 baud

- 8 databits

- no parity

- 1 stop bit

- no flow control

2. Correct and working console cable

(A console cable that was previously used in other routers or switch)

and if nothing is displayed in your teminal window after powering ON the

router, then it could be a defective console port or probably a defective router.
