I have CW2K running on my Solaris box. Works great. I put in the DFM cd and I get the following message.
Number of symbolic links encountered during path name traversal exceeds MAXSYMLINK
Is this a CW2K issue or an OS issue?

Sounds like an OS issue so far. Are you using the correct DFM version and have all the required OS patches installed?

Yes I believe all the patches are done.

Is this is on Solaris 7 then it is due to Sun Bug # 4397779. Workaround would be to:
Workaround:
- Eject the CD from the CD Rom drive.
- Issue the command "mount" as root and see if /cdrom/cdrom0 is already mounted. If it is, unmount it by doing : umount /cdrom/cdrom0
- The stop the the volmgt daemon by doing:
/etc/init.d/volmgt stop
- mount F hsfs o ro /dev/dsk/c0t6d0s0 /cdrom
cd /cdrom
-Continue with CD installation.
