FCS Errors

Can someone give me a good explanation of what an FCS error is (utilizing a Catalyst 5500 Switch), and what might be causing an excessive number on a fast Ethernet port.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

On the 100full duplex link, this is the indication of the speed/duplex mismatch, please make sure that the speed and duplex is hardcoded to 100/full on both switch and server site..
