Hi,

burst-normal likes Bc in frame-relay, burst-max likes Bc+Be in frame-relay. and the burst-max also is the token bucket size. and the following statement explain how to use:

Router(config-if)#

rate-limit {input | output}

[access-group [rate-limit] number | qos-group number | dscp dscp]

mean-rate Bc Be

...

The rate-limit meter measures the contract compliance of a traffic class selected with a classifier.

A modified token bucket algorithm is used:

mean-rate specifies average traffic rate.

Bc specifies the normal burst size.

Be specifies the excess burst size.

The token bucket size is defined by Be alone.

Hope that helps.

but, What it's the time period than we can transmit in a Normal Burst Size?. Thanks.

Regards

Cristian
