IDS MC 1.0 and Monitoring Center for Security 1.0

I am installing IDS MC 1.0 and Monitoring Center for Security 1.0 in a standalone server. According with the product documentation it can be installed on Win 2000 Professional or Win 2000 Server operating systems.

Are there any recommendation about which OS should I use?

What are the pros and cons of each option?

I believe it's been tested thoroughly with both windows 2000 server and professional, so both should be fine. Be sure you're running service pack 2 or higher.
