changing gateway on PIX firewall

I just wanted to know how to change the gateway on PIX firewalls. Any help appreciated in advance.

Changing the (default) gateway on a PIX can be achieved by altering the next hop in the ip route. Example:

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

You can have multiple host or net-routes with different gateways.

I have a pix 506. What mode do I need to be in and is there anything else I will need to do after like reset the pix?

priviliged mode to execute the command. I would do a show ip route, and make sure yur default gateway shows up
