we have a remote isdn site (804) that suddenly cannot connect to our receiving 3640. local telco and long distance providers have "tested" and ruled themselves out. other remote sites are fine. i can get them to connect with the 1010220 prefix. Does anyone know any buzz words that i can use to get the telco to own up to their problem..

The very fact that the call goes thru using the 1010220 should be good enough for the telco....there seems to be an issue on the path the call takes without the 1010220 prefix....
Try locking the speed to 56k,
dialer map ip
OR
dialer string xxxx class 123
map-class dialer 123
dialer isdn speed 56
Thanks, Mak.

locking the spped to 56k was the first thing i tried (previous experiences).
i tried :
dialer wait-for-carrier-time
i also tried :
(config-if)#dialer in-band
but don'r understand the reply:
"%Remove dialer profile config first"
sometimes the q931 shows :
"Destination address is non-ISDN"

You probably have dialer Profiles configured (dialer pool xx)....On a non-DDR interface, for legacy ddr we need "dialer in-band" to add any dialer commands but for Dialer profiles we need "dialer pool" for adding any more dialer commands.
show run / sh ver.
Thanks, Mak.
