password trouble with 6500

ive entered set enablepass XXXXXXX.and responsed with :

useage:set enablepass

ive then realized what ive done.now i cant use the old ant the new password neither.do i have to apply paasword recovery?any idea?

On a catos based switch you need to enter after you've entered set enablepass

Then it prompt for the current (default none) and then you enter (twice) the new password.

If it won't work look at the cat6k password recovery procedure at:

Ý know hot to change it.and i also know the recovery protocol.the problem here is;although i couldnt change the password i cant login with the old one.do u have an idea about it?
