Some advice on blocking instant messenger ports would be very helpful. I believe that a deny on 1863 tcp and udp will handle MSN. Am I coreect on that and what other ports need attention for such as AOL IM?

thanks

This has been asked numerous times on this forum before, so checking some old posts will assist you.

In addittion, http://testweb.oofle.com/messaging/index.htm has some good information about blocking IM's and file sharing programs.

thank you for this. I shall look at the older posts also.
