AP vs Wireless Bridge in AP mode

What is the difference between AP and Wireless Bridge in AP mode? Or, when to use AP like device and when Wireless Bridge in AP mode?

BR350 as access points can be used to cover outdoor areas, since they have metal case for durability and plenum rating and an extended operating temperature rating for harsh environments

Other than that BR350 in AP mode is jus similar to AP350(not the pastic ones, the metal plenum rated) if you use for indoor coverage.

The bridge as a rugged access point connected to the wired LAN. When you select Access Point, the bridge's Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) function is disabled. Figure 3-4 shows a bridge set up as a rugged access point.

use a BR350 as an AP if you want to have other bridges associating with it in addition to clients. bridges can't associate with APs only with Bridges.

Hello,

AP (Access point) mode:

will allow you to add wireless access to en existing router or switch.

Bridge mode:

will allow you to connect two or more networks or network devices separated physically to each other wirelessly to make a connection, operating on the 802.11 standard.
