AP350 Association Lost through Microsoft WPA Update

Whilst running WinXP with a 350 PCMCIA attached, I inadvertently installed Microsoft Upgrade 815485 (WPA Update) and have since been unable to Associate albeit for 5 seconds following card insertion. Roll-back recovery proved that the MS upgrade caused the problem.

Please beware. I’ve since found that Cisco are in the process of incorporating WPA support to the Aironet Product line. Let'’ hope that it includes the 350 series.

Hi Michael,

when this problem happened did you notice if control of the WLAN network adapter was returned to windows ?? There is a checkbox on

Step 1 Make sure the client adapter's firmware and driver have been installed and the client adapter is inserted in the Windows XP device.

Step 2 Double-click My Computer, Control Panel, and Network Connections.

Step 3 Right-click Wireless Network Connection.

Step 4 Click Properties. The Wireless Network Connection Properties screen appears.

Step 5 Select the Wireless Networks tab
