Hi,
I am having Cisco -1601 Router , I want to terminate 2 isp on different serial interface ie S0 & S1 & having only one Ethernt Interface.
Now I want to load balance between both isp's so that all the LAN traffic can route on any of the ISP , also I want that if one ISP goes down my traffic can automaticaly Route to other ISP .
So which solution is best in this scenerio , also please note that I don't want to use any Routing Protocol.
Thanks in Advance

As long as you dont run BGP, you cannot achieve loadbalancing, inbound as well as outbound.
Are you getting two public pools from either ISPs and plan to use both of them...?? If yes u will need to configure NAT with route-maps. Check this link out.

Hi,
Can I also put { set ip next-hop verify-availability } in the Route Map Statement , to check the availabilty of the ISP Link ?
Thanks

That can be used only if u configure PBR. (policy routing)
Refer to this to learn more abt this command.
keepalives on the serial link should detect availability of the ISP nexthop.

Although this is seven years afte rthe original post, it is worth noting that this feature is possible in modern versions of IOS.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk361/technologies_configuration_example09186a00808d2b72.shtml (w/NAT)
You can also use the "Reliable Static Routing Backup Using Object Tracking" feature to have a static route activate or deactivate based on an ongoing ping result.
