VLANs on a 4006

Folks

I set up a port on a 4006 as a vlan and expected to have to config the trunk ports as well but this seems to have been done automatically.

Is this always the case on higher level switches?

Also i only want this vlan traffic on 2 out 3 trunk ports so should use vtp pruning to stop traffic out the 3rd port

again,

thanks in anticipation

By default the trunk mode on our switches such as 4k and 6k is "auto". If the other end is set to trunk, the port will negotiate to be a trunk

To clear of VLANs on a trunk, you could either use VTP pruning or manually clear the VLANs off the trunk
