Hi All,
I need to move a Management VLAN, Looking for a little advice..concerning pit falls and maybe a smooth way to do this operation. My core switch is 6513 , Distro layer is 3508's and most all of access layer devices are 3524-XL or similiar type. Running VTP ver2 and Dot1Q trunking.
Thanks,
Rich

Rich,
I would clear vlan 1 off all trunks and break up the management vlan into different vlans (1-3). So, you do not have one instance of spanning tree across the whole network. Dot1q (good choice) Vtp--I would go to transparent.
