I am trying to manage my Cisco IP Phone (Cisco 7690s) environment using CWLMS 2.1 Topology Services. The icon it gives the phone is a switch and the description is that it is a 3550-48. Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks in anticipation
Nick :-)

The only supported IP Phones that I see listed at:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/camp_mgr/sup_dev/cm_3_2.htm are 7960 and 7940.

Yes sorry that was a typo! The phones I am trying to manage ARE 7960s, not 7690s as indicated - any suggestions?

I believe that this because I see a "N/A" listed under the Topology column for the Supported Device List:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/rtrmgmt/cw2000/camp_mgr/sup_dev/cm_3_2.htm

I thought this was the case but if I have a customer that wants to use the LMS solution to manage his IPT environment, does this mean that they will never be able to manage the phones? Is this because the phones do not have a valid OID and if so how does Cisco propose they are monitored for availability?

IP Phones do not run SNMP on them. As for not showing them in the Topology Map is because each CallManage could have severl hundred phoned connected to it thereby cluttering the map altogether. UserTracking will show you all the details about IP Phones. Topology Map will only show the CallManagers and not the connected IP Phones. UT will show this info.
