A 2611 router with a serial interface (non-isdn). Can I connect it to a ISDN line using a ISDN Terminal Adapter? In this case the router (TE2 device) connects to the ISDN TA which in turn connects to the ISDN network.
If the configuration is possible, is there any isdn config I need to do on the router? If someone provides a link on CCO that would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance,

Partha,
You configure the serial interface with the "dialer in-band" command. The terminal adaptor must be able to communicate with the serial interface via V.25bis. There will be no ISDN configuration on the router, because all ISDN functions will run between the terminal adaptor and the ISDN network switch. This link, although it refers to asynchronous interfaces, will also apply to synchrounous interfaces.
Ignore the commands "async default routing" and "async mode dedicated.
